F%$# Winter
I'm bored and tired. No sleep again. So blogging, yes that is what I do when I should be on the treadmill and don't want to go outside. I blog and wish I could be outside without freezing my face off, or losing a toe to frost bite. Bike/running/mud season where are you?
Yeah, I could take a nap but I have things I could do. They may not be fun things, but there is always something to do. I could probably go out, but truthfully my one night at the bar this week was probably enough to last me six months. I wouldn't mind listening to Jazz, going to see an art museum, or eating sushi but other than the sushi I can't thing of anywhere I could do that. The art center doesn't have an exhibit right now, I already know my own art inside out, and well a quiet music venue on my own.. I'm not sure I know of anything.
So yes, I'm being lame and pessimistic but I continue to miss spring/summer/fall. I hate winter.
Charlie :(
Charlie has been mopy today. He woke me up, like usual, bright eyed and bushy tailed. The res of the day, since my 3 hours of sleep, he's been tired and groggy. Keeps hiding. Will be keeping an eye on my little guy. So far no puke or other signs of sickness but he's been sleepy all day. If this continues he will be seeing his least favorite white room tomorrow: Banfield's vet area.
Update (later in the night): Charlie is back to his normal self. Hyper and happy.
Birthday Tidings
Had an excellent birthday. Not having a birthday is the best thing that I've done in 5 years on my birthday. I'm not saying the other days with my friends where not great, I enjoyed them but party planning has stressed me out every year. I'm beyond grateful for the people who have celebrated with me in the past.
This year, I only asked one friend to hang out. I didn't tell him it was my birthday (he found out a couple hours before we hung out) and I knew 100% nothing would suck, go wrong, or randomly be cancelled. It was perfect. Ate steak and shrimp at the Cheesecake factory, had a glass of Malbec. Then went to the comedy club, laughed a lot. Made jokes, waiting in a line for a hour, had a chocolate martini. After we went for one more drink and people watching at a local establishment. So, in my opinion it was the best birthday I've had in years. Only thing that could be better would be if my family lived closer, but I'm starting to sound like a broken record always saying that.
